Description
“What is this place? How do I get out of this strange facility? This person behind the computer is helping me, but there is no of knowing if I’m able to trust them. Will working together be the only way out?”
Mistrust is a puzzle-adventure game where the player finds themselves in a strange laboratory building. The only form of communication with anyone else is through a computer inside an office space. The player must decide if they can trust the person behind the screen, figuring out their way out of the building by solving multiple puzzles scattered throughout the game.
Contributions
As the game’s sole developer, I was tasked with creating all assets of the game, including the 3D modeling, coding and game logic, and even the game’s soundtrack. The project was presented as my thesis in 2019 for the New Visual Media course at Emerson College.
Project Details
The game was created using the Unity engine. All assets were modeled in Maya.
There are two versions of the game. The Mac version allows for object interaction, while the VR version is meant for the player to explore the area and get a better sense of their surrounding.
The game was presented as part of the Virtual Me exhibition in Emerson College, in both the Boston and Los Angeles campuses.
